Recently we were asked about our Primal Spirit range and the kind of fish that is used to make it.
The fish that is used to produce our range of Primal Spirit food is seasonal fish. This means that it varies depending on what fish is typically caught and eaten during its natural fishing season. One of the benefits of this is that seasonal foods are healthier because they offer the best nutritional intake.
Other benefits include:
- The reproductive cycles of the animals mean that during a particular period of the year, the availability in the shops is wider. Therefore, seasonal foods are cheaper because there is a greater supply. This helps us keep our prices down and makes the food more affordable for our customers
- Respecting the natural cycle and the area of food production allows us to manufacture our products in a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly way
Each product in the Primal Spirit range that has fish within its ingredients contains a different percentage. These percentages are as follows:
- Wanderlust: 20%
- Wild Waters: 50%
- Rebel Farm: 20%
- Oceanland: 45%
- Wilderness: 20%
